Anyone who has been around long enough knows that you sure do love to cook, Captain. What would you say is your favorite thing to make, and when are you making it for us?
Working a grill is always the most fun, since everyone around is usually eating and drinking. It’s fun to hang out while cooking meat and veggies for everyone, plus people bring you drinks!
What would you say is the best thing about running the 8th Division?
Working with all the members and officers within the 8th Division is the best! We have lots of great parties and cookouts… Uh, but only once all of our work is done. And we have a TON of work. But getting it all done makes you feel productive and makes the beer taste better!
Have any promising Reapers shown themselves in your Military Training classes? And how do you manage being a Captain and teaching a Wing Bind course? You must be pretty busy…
Anyone that makes it to the end of my Military Training is promising in their own way, Soul Reapers come in all different types! And I am pretty busy, but I have tricked the Head Captain into giving me free reign to travel wherever I want. I train students in different divisions and in the human world, I get to travel around the soul society for Gotei 13 business, plus I can still train the 8th Division on their patrols! The benefit of all that work is that when I need to take a break, my lieutenant and officers have my back.
Where is our invite to your secret bar? Do we need a password or do we just need to show up and drink?
The secret bar is open to anyone on patrol or who wants to hunt a hollow with a bounty! It’s not so secret, I suppose, but maybe there’s a double-secret bar no one knows about?! Hmmmmm.
What does a day outside the office look like to you?
I like to hang out with my fellow captains and officers, trying out new recipes, and traveling! I spend a lot of time as a captain roaming around, but it feels different when you are off duty, you know? Just don’t try to follow me, I like to make solo trips most of the time! It feels nice being isolated in the middle of nowhere.
