Hello again everyone! We are back with another battle blog yet again, and this one is going to be one hell of a fight, as well as, in my opinion, a very one sided one! Last time we had a look at the powers of animation by pitting 11th Division Captain Hikaru Miho and his Hell power, against the talents of 1st Espada Coyote Starrk and his resurección, Los Lobos. This one was a fairly difficult match to call since both of them had fairly equal levels of power, but we all still sided with the home team nonetheless!
Today, we are now highlighting the fourth of our clans and having a pure Quincy on Quincy battle! Today, we put the powers of mind control against each other by battling 3rd Division Captain Jurgen Fahlrein against Quincy Sternritter Giselle Gewelle!
Giselle Gewelle - The Zombie / Azhalbiora
To start us off, we will have a look at Giselle's powers. Her Schrift known as
The Zombie. The way this works is that anyone that comes into contact with Giselle's blood turns into a zombie, or undead, under her control. This can work on both alive or dead enemies, though the zombies are less powerful if reanimated after death. Though she cannot control Quincy zombies without them having died first. Zombified enemies that are controlled before death also have fresh cells and can move and react even better than normal, but then their personality vanishes in the process, making them far easier to control. Giselle can also use the zombies for
Healing power, by severing their limbs, or parts of them, and using it as replacements for her comrades. Giselle also has the ability to completely heal herself of any injuries while using The Zombie.
Now, this is a cool power to have, but the Vollständig... well, not so great. Whether we just didn't have the opportunity to see more of it, or it was meant to be weaker than the original Schrift, is unknown. But Giselle's Vollständig is called
Azhalbiora. With this, the concept of the Zombies is gone and Giselle relies purely on spiritual powers. Her first ability is
Dancing Dead Boys Club where she creates cartoonish skeletons to attack her enemies. We have seen they can probably be fairly powerful, but beyond that, not so much. Her second ability is
Munchy Munchy Babies which we honestly have no idea what it does. So, a Vollständig that doesn't hold up much but still a powerful Schrift nonetheless!
Jurgen Fahlrein - Stehlen / Gestohlenes Königreich
Now we move on to the powers of our Quincy Commander, Jurgen Fahlrein and his Macht (the WoR equivalent of Schrift),
Stehlen! The German word for "Steal", this power works very similarly to Giselle's Zombie. Jurgen fires an arrow in front of an opponents eyes and implants his own tiny mind control into them. Thy can still act independently, but then they are simply waiting for Jurgen's commands, which come thusly. His first ability is
Wechseln, which means "switch". This allows him to instantaneously switch places with a target and leave them very disoriented. A perfect set up for his second ability
Vernichten, or "destroy". Here he fires an arrow at the possessed target's back and voluntarily fire the most powerful ability they have towards anything they happen to be facing.
Deadly! But there's more! His third ability is
Überwältigen, also known as "overwhelm". This horrid ability has Jurgen possess five people and then fire directly at a non-possessed target. The five controlled ones will then massacre that poor soul, using anything available to bring them down. And finally, his last Macht ability;
Doppelgänger which is a long one! Doppelgänger creates a perfect replica of an enemy that he can command. However, he has only two commands for it; "Fight", or "Eat". Fight makes the clone fight a random target to the death on Jurgen's orders. If the clone dies, the original also dies. However, the Eat command forces the clone to destroy itself, also destroying the original in the process too.
Now this is cool and destructive but we aren't done! For it is time to hear what Jurgen told us his possible Vollständig could be to battle Giselle and... oh boy. So, Stehlen relies on the idea of stealing away a person's ability to think for themselves. Well, the Vollständig builds on that perfectly with the name
Gestohlenes Königreich, the Stolen Kingdom. In this power, Jurgen sprouts red wings from his back and a red crown over his head. With this Völlstandig, Jurgen’s Stehlen becomes a whole power of manipulating free will and sense of self. This power’s abilities act in stages, which makes it difficult to use effectively, but overtly powerful if uninterrupted. The unfortunate drawback of this power is that Jurgen has little to no control over its spread. While he can control the people he affects, he cannot control or stop the spread, nor can he specifically target anyone. And, if he isn't careful, his power can revert in on himself, causing him to fracture and become an empty shell. Jurgen Fahlrein would be gone forever.
So, with this in mind, let's see what destruction Gestohlenes Königreich wreaks with the first ability;
Stille Fessel. Translated to "Silent Shackle", Jurgen fires out small sparkling balls of red energy from his body like spores. If they touch an opponent, an invisible chain extends out from him, locking on to the victim’s consciousness and instantly making them lose their free will and become a vessel for his commands. Following this is the next stage,
Reich der Seelen. Kingdom of Souls, where the loss of control kicks in and Jurgen's lights spread at an unbelievable rate, controlling any who are unfortunately touched by them. Soon all their sense of self is fully taken away, turning into empty shells with no self awareness or emotion and only hear Jurgen's voice in their empty heads. And finally, the last stage,
Land ohne Erinnerung, Land Without Memory. Scary as hell, this ability steals away the very person of all under his thrall. They finally lose the ability to think and act as the Kingdom falls and all who lived under his rule are stolen of all things, thought, self, and life.
Final Battle - Stehlen vs The Zombie
And here we are at the dramatic finale, the last battle between Giselle Gewelle and Jurgen Fahlrein. Pardon me while I adjust my glasses, grab my tea, and have a little think about this one. I think it is fair to say that it's quite evenly matched in terms of Schrift versus Macht. Giselle's power to take over people completely from the start and leave them with no agency of their own gives her a bit more of an advantage, not to mention the fact that she can heal from any injury whatsoever. However the abundance of abilities in Jurgen's arsenal would make him a specifically difficult opponent to fight against!
So... what about Azhalbiora versus Gestohlenes Königreich? Yeah, Giselle is getting completely wiped. She stands absolutely no chance at all, and would be only one tiny casualty in the great and terrible wake of Jurgen's Land Without Memory. That Vollständig is one of the most terrifying things I have ever seen, and I've seen DHC Miho angry!
What do we all think? Could Giselle shuffle her way to escape, or even victory under Jurgen's Vollständig? Or is she getting brutalised? Let me know in the comments and suggest who you want me to put into a battle next!
