Hello all at World of Reapers! I am pleased to say that we are back again with another one of our great Battle Blogs, the WoR One v One! In this series we take one of our users with cool powers and put them up in a fight against an established canon character!

And now, let us proceed to our battle of the week! Last time we had an insane battle between our own Head Captain Arata Saito and the King of the Quincies, Yhwach. A battle that proved to be indecisive but still looking like Yhwach would take the win. Now, today, we dial things back down a little and pitch two former Captains against each other, placing the Fullbring of Sabrine Savagaeu against the zanpakuto of former Captain Kaname Tosen!

Kaname Tosen - Suzumushi

As usual, let's start with the powers of Kaname Tosen and his zanpakuto Suzumushi. This blade when activated projects a high pitched sound that encases the entire area, overloading his enemy's senses and knocking them unconscious immediately. But that's not all! It also carried a unique ability, Suzumushi Nishiki: Benihikō which allows Tosen to throw down thousands of blades on an enemy following a trail that he paints himself with his blade.

Daunting stuff indeed! Of course, to keep things fair, we won't be giving an analysis of his Bankai for the opponent and keeping it nice and level. We all know an enemy with a powerup like that will likely overpower an enemy with no special similar strength.

Sabrine Savagaeu - Chroma Mend

Now we look at the Fullbring matching against this zanpakuto, Chroma Mend. some may think that a Fullbring that mostly does healing might not be useful here, but that just may be the thing that makes Sabrine able to defeat Tosen in Shikai and maybe even in Bankai. You see, Chroma Mend has three primary abilities; Chromatic Restoration, Emotional Resonance, and Colour Manipulation. Which of these might be the trump card?

Well, Emotional Resonance is a mental healing/illusion ability that can calm opponents with colours that reflect inner peace. A nice sea blue that mellows the soul can calm an opponent to the point where thy no longer wish to attack. Chromatic Restoration is the prime healing ability that does all the physical healing with colour changes as well. And finally, Colour Manipulation works by using harsh colours to attack the enemy. Chroma Mend is a Fullbring that can do far more than it seems, manipulating colours to form its abilities in a more world bending way than some may realise.

Final Battle - Suzumushi vs Chroma Mend

Final battle! Who wins this one? Well, going on what we know about these abilities, in a summary... Chroma Mend is our winner. Here's how I know. Chroma Mend depends on the manipulation of colours. With Tosen's shikai, yes he could blast our Sabrine's hearing with that power, BUT this is where her powerful trump card comes in; Chromatic Restoration. Using this healing ability, she could mend her hearing and use it in time to prevent going unconscious. Or protect her hearing altogether! Then just make an attack and boom, done.

But what if Tosen used bankai? Surely if Sabrine lost al her senses, she'd lose, right? Wrong. See, from what we know of Chroma Mend, Sabrine only needs the existence of colour in order to use it. And though Tosen's bankai eliminates senses, it doesn't eliminate colour. Hypothetical situation, but let's say that Sabrine memorised what Tosen looked like before the lights went out. She now has numerous colours to work with; purple, orange, white, and black. Using her ability, she could draw out those colours, using them to heal her senses and attack once they were regained.

It's a long shot, I know, and perhaps there's more mechanics to this than we realise, but so far it does seem like Chroma Mend takes the victory against Suzumushi! Let us know your theories in the comments and who you want to see fighting next!
