I have recently reached out to Seiji to see if he would care to give us a little more insight on himself, his plans for his Division, and much more.

You’re the newly appointed Captain of the 6th Division, what plans do you have for the squad?
"Right now I am just settling into my job, I’m not quite sure I have any plans really besides ensuring that my division honours itself in its protection to the Soul Society. Time will tell."

Was Captaincy your plan all along, or just something you came across?
"Initially my plan was to join the Royal Guard. Becoming Captain was a very snap decision. I wasn’t even sure that I would be able to pass the Captain’s proficiency test."

Rumor had it you were destined for the Royal Guard. What keeps you in the Seireitei?
"As I said earlier, my plan was to eventually join the Royal Guard, but I’m sure the guard will be more than efficient with my sister already leading it. I spent most of my life in the academy also serving in Squad 6 prior to my promotion. I didn’t want to leave it, especially when it was without a Lieutenant and a Captain. Of course, there are more personal reasons to it as well, but I won’t go into that here."

I heard from the grapevine that you were promoted before your graduation from Shin’O. Is this true? If so, that must mean you are some type of prodigy… do you agree with that statement?
"What? No . . . I was just about to graduate anyway, it still took me seven years of studying to get here."

Can we be besties since we share a name basically?
"If you like."
Not really the enthusiasm I was looking for, but regardless I'm sure we will become good friends over time!

Give me a Seiji fun fact?
"A fun fact . . . right erm . . . recently I’ve begun to enjoy music from the Human Realm, they have some very interesting sounds. I like American Rock especially."
