KATON MIHO

Katon Naraku Miho is the only son of Tōru Yōta Miho, a privy council member of the Miho clan and brother to the clan's chief Ryota Miho. As the first born off the next generation, Katon was placed as an interim Miho heir, being close with Hayami Nitta until the actual Miho heir was born.

Starting his rigorous training under his strict father's cruel and watchful eye, Katon was able to join the Shin'O Academy at mere 12.5 years of age. He was a model student as it was expected from the clan but he was most admired in Kidō, Hakuda, Zanjutsu, and Zanpakuto classes.

During his 6th year at the Academy, his love for the Kido arts grew immensely. Having an inexplicable drive to learn beyond what was taught in the classroom, he spent most of his time in the Daireishokairō learning about spells that were not permitted. After an incident with another student Katon used the forbidden arts on him resulting in severe punishment by the Central 46 and landing him in the Nest of Maggots and ultimately in the 3rd level of the Central Underground prison.

He was able to get out after 5 years thanks to the Captain of the 13th division, Miyata Katashi. He got accepted in the 13th division ranks as the 3rd seated officer. The record of what actually happened afterwards has been erased but it resulted in Katon getting a 100 year ban from the Soul Society and an exile from the Miho and Nitta clans.

After his 100 year penance he re-emerged within the Kido Corps ranks and his unrivaled skills earned him the position of the Kido Training Sensei as well as, the Commander of the Kido Corps. He has been serving the Soul Society within this secretive division without attracting as much attention for the time being.
