The Kido Corps are a peculiar branch of the Gotei 13, separated from the 13th classic division but still under the command of the Head Captain and the Central 46. It is a very secretive division made of the best Kido masters of Soul Society that conduct important research on Kido, as well as provide for shields and portals for the whole Gotei 13 and ensures that the movements within realms and between Rukongai and Seireitei is always possible. The division also acts in the dark in pursuing criminal Soul Reapers, especially kido experts, and conducts its own forms of investigations. Most of their barracks are unavailable for external personnel, with the exception of invited guests, the Head Captain and Deputy Head Captain.
