Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck was a former member of the Espada in Bleach, once holding the rank of Third Espada. Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck is best known for her dual existence as both a powerful warrior and her childlike counterpart, “Nel.” Unlike many Arrancar, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck demonstrated a strong sense of honour and compassion, distinguishing her from others of her kind.

Before her fall, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck served as a respected Espada, recognised for both her strength and her refusal to engage in unnecessary cruelty. Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck often clashed ideologically with other Arrancar, particularly Nnoitra Gilga, whose brutal outlook directly opposed her beliefs. This conflict ultimately led to Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck’s betrayal, resulting in her being forced into a childlike state and cast out.

After losing her memories and powers, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck lived as “Nel,” wandering Hueco Mundo alongside her companions. In this form, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck appeared carefree and childlike, though traces of her original personality remained. During this time, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck formed a close bond with Ichigo Kurosaki, demonstrating loyalty and emotional awareness that exceeded her apparent age.

Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck eventually regained her original form and abilities during her confrontation with Nnoitra. In battle, she displayed immense speed, strength, and combat skill, reaffirming her status as a former Espada. Despite her power, Nel continued to uphold her values, fighting with purpose rather than cruelty.

Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck’s abilities include advanced swordsmanship, high-speed movement, and her unique Cero techniques. Her signature attack, Cero Doble, allows Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck to absorb and redirect energy attacks with amplified force. Combined with her tactical mindset, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck remains one of the most formidable Arrancar introduced in Bleach.

Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck is also notable for her distinct appearance, featuring green hair, a broken hollow mask fragment, and a dual form that visually represents her fractured past. This design, paired with her layered personality, has made Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck a fan-favourite character.
